William Burrel Wheeler, 60, Jefferson, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008.
A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Willie A. Whitlock and Evie Lou Wheeler of Jefferson. He was a maintenance worker with the University of Georiga. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pearlie Mae Wheeler.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include one sister, Geraldine Wheeler, Jefferson; two brothers, Jimmy Thomas Wheeler and Claude David Wheeler, both of Jefferson; and one uncle, Carlton Wheeler, Jefferson.
The funeral was held Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Gerald Mitton officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
