Thomas D. Parks, 60, Danielsville, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was the son of Ruth Carroll Parks, Maysville, and the late Roy Parks. He was co-owner of Park’s Mobile Home Transport and a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Maxine Savage Parks of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and George Phillips, Seneca, S.C.; granddaughters, Christine and Lauren Phillips; mother-in-law, Julia Webb Savage, Maysville; sister-in-law, Marie Doster Parks, Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Parks was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Keith Parks.
The funeral service was Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Chaplin Harry Jones officiating.
Burial was in Jackson Memorial Park.
