DANIELSVILLE – Charlie Holloway, 93, died Thursday, August 2, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Madison County on January 5, 1919, the son of the late Benjamin and Florence Smith Holloway. He was a bridge foreman for the Madison County Government. He was a member of the Bluestone Baptist Church in Danielsville and a member of the Woodman of the World. Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by brothers, Carson Holloway and Harrison Holloway.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Janelle Gordon Holloway, Danielsville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 5, at 4 p.m. at the Bluestone Baptist Church in Danielsville with the Revs. Ray Jenkins and George Lovely officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 4, at the funeral home. The family is at home.
