MILLEDGEVILLE - Thomas Dale Murphy, 74, formerly of Pendergrass, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012.
He was born in Jackson County, the son of the late Thomas Woodrow and Irene Cooper Murphy. Mr. Murphy worked in sales at Slack Auto Parts and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Matarrese, Alpharetta; son, John Paul Murphy, Monroe; sisters, Carol Holzhalb, and Woodie Oglesby, both of Pendergrass; and brother, William Murphy, Pendergrass; grandchildren, Jade Murphy, Alli, Melissa, and Nicole Matarrese.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, at 1:30 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
