Fred Michael Bidwell, Sr., a native of Athens, Tenn., died Thursday, July 26, 2012 in a local hospital.
He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and was employed with Lance and Anderson Building Supply.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Rosalie Theisen Bidwell, Mobile, Ala.; three children, Dorothy Bidwell (Mark) Fries, Kenosha, Wisc., Mary Bidwell (Bill) Irmen, North Lake, Ill., and Frederick Michael Bidwell, Jr.; one sister, Juanita Osiol, San Diego, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 30, from the Chapel of the Sacred Heart Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Mobile, Ala. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday at the Sacred Heart Residence. Interment will follow in Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, Ala.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
