Bonnie Sue Sullivan Hill, 92, died Friday, July 27, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.
She was the daughter of the late Ruben Lee Sullivan and Daisy Lee Brawner. She graduated from Banks County High School and the University of Georgia. She married Early Eugene Hill, an Air Force pilot, and enjoyed 20 years of travel overseas and stateside. She was a retired school teacher. Mrs. Hill moved to Homer in 1982 and became active in the Homer Methodist Church. She was a member of Banks County Historical Society, the Chamber of Commerce, CVB, Farm Bureau, Local AARP and instigated the restoration of the old Banks County High School building into the Herbert Garrison Civic Center, which she managed for 17 years. She was given many honors and awards for civic and community work, including Citizen of the Year and Grand Marshal of the Fall Festival Parade.
Survivors include Jerry E. Hill, Jefferson, Vicki Hill Robinson, Phoenix, Ariz., Walter Lee Hill, Lawrenceville; four grandsons; two great-granddaughters; one niece; and two nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 29, at the Homer United Methodist Church with the Revs. James McLendon and Steve Lewallen officiating. Burial was in the Hill Family Cemetery.

What a Precious Angel Ms Bonnie was. I learned a great deal from her and was truely blessed to have known her. My prayers are with the family............
