Gynelle Otting (7-24-12)

GAINESVILLE - Gynelle Eubanks Otting, 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at The Oaks at Scenic View, Baldwin, following an extended illness.

She was born January 25, 1923, in Commerce, the daughter of the late Jesse C. and Ertie Varnett Eubanks. She retired from Johnson & Johnson Textile Mill and was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Mrs. Otting was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Otting; granddaughter, Debbie Rogers; and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Marie Bell, Toccoa; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ollie Mae Lewis, Commerce.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, July 27, at 2 p.m. in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Otting will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will have a private viewing on Friday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
