JEFFERSON - Robert Edward "Bobby" Loggins, 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012.
He was born in Athens, the son of the late Hope E. and Christine Lyle Loggins. He was a member of the Galilee Christian Church, the American Legion, VFW and the Amateur Radio Association (Ham Radio). Mr. Loggins was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and was retired from the National Guard. He was retired from the Physics Department at UGA, where he was a Procurement Specialist, and he also enjoyed fishing and camping.
Survivors include sons, Carl Loggins, Lexington, Hope Loggins, Dry Pond, Brad Loggins, Jefferson, and Jonathan Loggins, Maysville; a sister, Delores Garrison, Jefferson; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 15, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Minister Tom Plank, the Revs. Nick Vipperman and Jimmy Strickland officiating. The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park with Andy Garrison, Wayne Garrison, Hubert Blalock, Dale Williamson, Charles Davis and Jimmy Strickland honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

I knew Bobby back in the day as an electronic parts salesman. Always enjoyed when he came by the shop. Sad to see old friends pass. My condolences to his family

I sure am saddened by Bob's death. I just found out, almost two months later. He was one of my biggest supporters over the years and I always loved to see him walk in. He really loved to dance. I, along with many, will deeply miss him.
