Joyce Reed (7-9-12)

DANIELSVILLE - Joyce S. Reed, 79, died Monday, July 9, 2012.

A native of Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edgar and Evelyn Andrews Sweetser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Reed; children, David Reed and Melinda Reed; and brothers, Johnnie Sweetser and Thomas Sweetser. She retired from the Pinnacle Bank after 42 years and was of the Baptist denomination.

Survivors include children, Eddy (Barbara) Reed, Danny Reed and Vicki Kilpatrick; sisters, Barbara Sweetser; four grandchildren, Melanie and Lou Boestfleisch, Matt Kilpatrick, Kevin Reed; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Boestfleisch.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at Danielsville Memorial Gardens with David Bowen and Mr. Wayne Braswell officiating. Pallbearers will be Steven Sweetser, David Sweetser, Russell Frank, Michael Morrison, Lou Boestfleisch, Matt Kilpatrick and Kevin Reed. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the funeral home.

Lord & Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
