Alice Orr (7-10-12)

FLOWERY BRANCH - Miss Alice Frances Orr, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at UniHealth - Lanier following an extended illness.

She was born January 16, 1927, the daughter of the late Phil and Christeen Grimes Orr. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and worked in the lunch room of Chestnut Mountain Elementary School. Miss Orr was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Orr; and a sister, Wylda Brown.

Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Max and Betty T. Orr, Gainesville, and Gilbert and Margaret Orr, Carnesville; sisters, Freita Reeves, Flowery Branch, and Margaret Chatham, Blairsville; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Orr, Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 12, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Union Baptist Church. The Revs. Max Orr and Brent Chatham will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
