Carolyn Roberts (7-6-12)

MONROE – Carolyn Jeanette Roberts, 82, died Friday, July 6, 2012.

She was the daughter of the late Leon and Erma Parr Helton. She lived in Barrow County her whole life and was of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Luluon V. Roberts.

Survivors include children, Wayne Roberts and wife Elaine, Monroe, David Roberts and wife Phyllis, Ellijay, Jeff Roberts and wife Judy, Statham, and Time Roberts, Monroe; brothers, James Helton, Winder, and Terry Helton, Bethlehem; sister, Linda Parry, Winder; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, at 11 a.m. from Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Blount officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
