WINDER - Douglas Charles Bell, 60, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Gainesville, the son of Geraldine "Gerry" Bell of Hoschton and the late Jesse Dean Bell, Sr. He graduated from Jackson County High School. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service and was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center in Gainesville. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Dean Bell, Jr.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Pamela Elizabeth Antley Bell, Winder; sons, Russell (Maria) Bell, Hoschton, Daniel Bell, Covington, and Garth (Melissa) Antley, Alto; a brother, Jeffery (Jean) Bell, Hoschton; sister, Patty (Bobby) Wheeler, Suwanee; grandchildren, Mason Levi Bell and Paige Nichole Antley; and a number of other relatives.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 8, at 2 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday July 8, at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.

Doug was a great friend to our family and will be sadly missed. What a great dad & son he was. The family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Daniel, if you need anything let me know!!
