HIGH POINT, N.C. - Otho William Brown passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his residence in High Point, N.C.
Otho Brown, 93, was born in Homer, on April 6, 1919. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Nannie Sue Owens; two brothers; and one sister.
He was a World War II veteran who survived the attack of Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. He was a Tec-5 sergeant in the United States Army and was decorated with four Bronze Stars in the battles of Caroline Islands, Guadalcanal, and Northern Solomon Islands in the central Pacific. Mr. Brown retired as a maintenance technician for the High Point School District.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Hallman; son, Jerry Brown and his wife Lenore; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Davis Funerals & Cremations, High Point, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.
