J.C. Collins (6-28-12)

COMMERCE - J.C. Collins, 86, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Heritage Healthcare of Toccoa.

He was born in Cornelia, the son of the late Homer and Vesta Clarke Collins. He worked many years doing upholstery work and later was employed by Blue Bell. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran.

Survivors include sons, Rickie Collins (Janet), Commerce, Nelson Collins (Barbara), Ware Shoals, S.C., Michael Collins (Norma), Baldwin, and Johnny Collins, Homer; a brother, Troy Collins, Commerce; sisters, Clara Minish, Homer. and Thelma Lynn, Commerce; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, July 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. No services are planned at this time.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
