WINDER – Margie Colene Duncan, 83, died Saturday, June 23, 2012.
The daughter of the late James J. and Winnie Clack Hollifield, she was a member of the Winder First Baptist Church where she served as a greeter and a member of the Anna Sunday School Class. She dedicated time to volunteering at the hospital. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening and doll collecting. She traveled extensively and lived overseas before returning to her roots in Winder. She was a good and loyal friend to a large circle of friends, and she is beloved by her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Duncan, Winder; sons, Charlie Duncan and wife Ellen, San Antonio, Texas, Chris Duncan and wife Beth, Columbia, S.C.; daughters, Connie Craft and husband Nick, Douglasville, Catie Bonner and husband Tracy, Fort Mill, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, Catherine Branch, Teddy Craft, Greg Duncan, Lauren Duncan, Rachel Bonner, Caleb Bonner, Matthew Bonner, Michael Bonner, Adam Duncan, Mike Duncan, Cassidy Reeh, and Tanner Reeh; and four great-grandchildren, Jackson Craft, Riley Craft, Abigail Branch, and Rylann Bonner.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 29, at 2 p.m., from the Winder First Baptist Church.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
