William Jesse Brown, 57, of Commerce, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at his residence, following an extended illness.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Sam and Grace Parker Brown. He worked at Certain Teed Corporation of Athens for 30 years. Mr. Brown made a lot of friends that he considered family, loved ones stated.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Donnette Brown, Commerce; sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Tiffany Brown, Alto, Nicholas and Kristy Sorrow, Pendergrass; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Chad Bridges, Danielsville; sister and brother-in-law, Judy Brown and James O’Kelley, Maysville; brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Bonnie Brown, Cleveland; eight grandchildren, Damian Brown, Patience Chaney, Cody Sorrow, Chase and Kaceen Bridges, Thaddeus Freeman, Payton Freeman and Tori Freeman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 22, from 6 to 9 p.m.
