GILLSVILLE - Gaynelle Irene Parks Wheeler, 74, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
She was born in Gainesville, the daughter of the late Marion and Jimmie Lou Hulsey Parks. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of the Gillsville Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wheeler.
Survivors include a son, Keith Wheeler, Gillsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond Parks (Pauline), Maysville, James Parks (Charlotte), Gillsville, Herbert Parks (Kathryn), Lula, Doug Parks (Deloris), Lula, and Rev. Phil Parks (Wanda), Lula; sister, Elaine Reece, Gillsville; and sister and brother-in-law, Marie Gardiner (Roy), Lula.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 23 at 2 p.m. from the Gillsville Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Calhoun and Phil Parks officiating with the interment following in the Gillsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
