Mary Waters (6-17-12)

Mary Fleming Waters, 86, formerly of Lake City, Fla., died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Bell Minor Nursing Home in Gainesville.

Born in Olustee, Fla. on April 28, 1926, she was the daughter of Willie Farris and LaNettye Fleming. Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Waters; three brothers; one sister; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Libby and Garland Wilkes, Jefferson; sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Virginia Waters, Lake City, Fla.; and Jim and Sandy Waters, Lake City, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Archer Funeral Home, 55 North Lake Dr., Lake Butler, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, at the chapel at Archer Funeral Home with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Lake Butler, Fla.
