FLOWERY BRANCH - Hoyt Brown, 74, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born June 23, 1937, the son of the late Marvin and Ida Brown of Dawsonville. He attended Auburn University and DeKalb Technical School, and was a former member of Salem Church of the Nazarene in Jasper, Ala. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his brother, Clayton Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Pavon D. Brown, Flowery Branch; daughters, Debra Cross Mackel, Clarkesville, and Brenda Brown Oakes, Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Derick and Sandy Eliason, Banks County; and three grandchildren, Justin Cross, Katie Eliason and Kelsey Eliason.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 14, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
