DANIELSVILLE - Joe Paul Sanders, 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Wannie and Icie Sanders. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary Lane Sanders; daughters, Cherrol (George) Slaton and Susan (Joe) Moon, both of Danielsville; four grandchildren, Adam, Josh, Tracey and Kristy; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Claudine Patton, Comer.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 10, at Union Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Owensby and Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church Building Fund.
Lord & Stephens, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
