TALMO - Polly Wilma Brown Ledford, 75, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
She was born in Lumpkin County, the daughter of the late William Hoyt and Bessie Smith Brown. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle C.H. Church in Talmo and was an avid gardener and homemaker. Mrs. Ledford was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Brown and Ralph Brown; and three sisters, Margaret Ledford, Grace Bruce, and Lucille Davis.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Andrew Jack Ledford, Talmo; son and daughter-in-law, David and Ellen Ledford, Talmo; Rick and Connie Ledford, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; daughter and son-in-law, Darren and Susie Ledford Hall, Maysville; daughter, Joyce Ledford Garmon, Jefferson; sisters, Nell Loggins, Murrayville, and Louise Dunagan, Gainesville; Betty Sue Davis, Talmo; brother, Bobby Brown, Clermont; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and tree great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23, at 4 p.m. at A Call to Salvation in Jefferson. A covered dish fellowship will follow in the church fellowship hall in celebration of her life.
