Hazel Hill (6-4-12)

HOSCHTON - Hazel Dell Johnson Hill, 73, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012.

She was born in McKeesport, Pa., the daughter of the late Chester L. and Marie Schmeltz Johnson. She was a member West Jackson Lions Club and a member of Northeast Church in Braselton. Mrs. Hill was an avid bowler and was a member of the Indiana Women's Bowling Association. She was a member of the Indiana Area 600 Club, and was the Director of Volunteers at St. Andrews Presbyterian Home in Indiana, Pa. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by a son, Larry Lane Hill; and brothers, Chester C. Johnson and Alex Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Lane Hill, Hoschton; daughters, Cathy Sleppy, Fairfax, Va., and Debbie Hill, Jefferson; son, David (Heidi) Hill, Braselton; grandchildren, Shawn (Gretchen), Michael (Lili), Jessica (David), and Bryson and Brianna; and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Sierra.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Harbin officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.
