Thelma Hardy (5-29-12)

COMMERCE - Thelma Johnson Hardy, 96, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the Northridge Medical Center in Commerce.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Mack and Ella Burns Borders. Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by husbands, John Wesley Johnson and E.J. Hardy.

Survivors include a daughter, Willie Johnson Gaston, Decatur; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 2, from the Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Commerce with the Rev. Theodore Braswell officiating. Interment was in the Jackson Memorial Gardens.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
