Dorothy Vickery (5-30-12)

COMMERCE - Dorothy Lee Sullivan Vickery, 85, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her residence.

She was born in Athens, the daughter of the late J.W. and Mae Crawford Sullivan. She was a retired secretary from Dr. Vickery’s office and a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce. Mrs. Vickery was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Vickery.

Survivors include a son, Chuck Vickery, Carnesville; daughters, Lynn Owensby and Elaine Gary, both of Commerce; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 2 from the First Baptist Church of Commerce with Carlton Allen, Jim Waller, and the Rev. Duane Eller officiating. Burial was at Jackson Memorial Gardens.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
