HULL – Martha Lorine Porterfield, 91, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Lena Bell Sanders Shelton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carvin Porterfield.
Survivors include brothers, Robert Shelton, Hull, Henry Shelton, Comer, and William Shelton, Athens; a sister, Lucille Pruitt, Anderson, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 1, at 11 a.m., from Hill Haven Cemetery in Monroe with the Rev. Herman Nation officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Bridges Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
