‘Jim’ Warren Memorial

A memorial for James R. (Jim) Warren will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the Madison County Library.

The family of Jim Warren of Poca would like to express their appreciation to everyone for their diligence, care, friendship and sympathy for their father, who passed away February 7, 2012.

Mr. Warren was a dealer for Deutz-Fahr air-cooled tractors and farm equipment in Pocataligo for over 30 years. He was a frequent visitor to the Madison County Board of Commissioners meetings, the newsletter editor for the Broad River Watershed Association, and taught math at the Madison County Adult Learning Center in Comer for a time. He also enjoyed dowsing for well sites during the water shortage in recent years and tried to educate those in authority about the importance of trees and water conservation.

There will be a gathering in his memory in the Community Room of the Madison County Library at 7 p.m.
Thursday, June 7. Everyone is welcome to attend. We hope you will bring photos, items or stories about Mr. Warren that you would like to share.
