JEFFERSON - Ned Gladston Berryman, 77, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012.
He was born in Jackson County, the son of the late D.S. and Jeannette Benton Berryman. He was in the grocery business and was a member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church. Mr. Berryman was preceded in death by his wife, Runnelle Sorrells Berryman; stepdaughter, Rita Diane Sofet; and brother, Doc Berryman.
Survivors include a son, Greg Berryman, Jefferson, stepdaughter, Sheryl (Wayne) Curtis, Monroe; sisters, Eleanor Maxine Cash, Buford, Carol Dean Stowe, Buford, Catherine (Booley) Phillips, Jefferson, Polly Jane Henderson, Gainesville, Betty Lane Nash, Bogart, and Emily Alice Hardiman, Hull; brother, Robert Stevie Berryman, Watkinsville; grandchildren, Rita Lynn Rapperport, Wayne Curtis Jr., Chressa Curtis Fadden; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Sorrells Springs Church Cemetery in Monroe, Ga. with his nephews honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, May 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.

Rest in peace Mr. Ned. You will be greatly missed. I so miss coming in to your store and just chatting with you, you always had a good piece of advice for us younger ones, and a good joke. Thanks for your kindness always. Prayers to your family.
