Scott Allen Vickery (5-20-12)

COLBERT - Scott Allen Vickery, 60, husband of Linda McClain Vickery, died Sunday, May 20, 2012.

A native of Martinsville, Va., he was the son of John H. Vickery and the late Janie Bond Vickery. He was a master mechanic for Certainteed Manufacturing. Mr. Vickery was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Kaye Vickery.

Survivors in addition to his father and wife, include one daughter, Kim Dean; sisters, Joan (Barry) Busbin, Sheila Daniel, Cathy (Ricky) Standrige, Bonnie (Dennis) McNabb, and Rhonda Vickery; brother, Ted (Kim) Vickery; three grandchildren, Matt (Diana) Dean, Austin Dean, Kaitlyn Dean; and one great-grandchild, Asher Dean.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 23, at 1 p.m. at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Colbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 Tuesday, May 22, at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
