Dennis Burrell (05-21-12)

CARNESVILLE – Dennis Lionel Burrell, 75, died Monday, May 21, 2012.

Born in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Fred and Ada Perry Burrell. He was retired from City Plumbing and Electric where he was the branch manager. He was a member of the Winder Optimist Club and the Jug Tavern Squares. Mr. Burrell was preceded in death by brothers, Fred Jr. and Ben Frank Burrell.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Burrell, Carnesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and James Valerio, Jefferson, and Susan and Shawn Bertrang, Carnesville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Maxwell Burrell, Royston.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, at 2 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Burrell officiating. The body will be cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
