Joyce Evans (5-7-12)

HOSCHTON - Joyce Evans, 81, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in Jackson County, the daughter to the late J.T. Jr. and Beulah Lutrell Waddell Holland. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hoschton United Methodist Church. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Lonie Evans; and a brother, Jimmy Holland.

Survivors include children, Larry H. Evans, Jefferson, Michael E. Evans, Mansfield, Patricia A. Evans, Hoschton, Ralph A. Evans, Braselton, Teresa L. McBrayer, Jefferson, Marilyn L. Sanford, Jacksonville, Fla., Carolyn O. Wall, Danielsville, and Sharon M. Evans, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Billie Camp, Tucker, and Bobbie Wade, Stone Mountain; 14 Grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 9, at 2 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Luis Ortiz officiating. Interment will follow at Hoschton City Cemetery in Hoschton. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
