Daniel O’Connor, born March 18, 1933 in Brooklyn, N.Y., died Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Mr. O’Connor was a proud United States Army Veteran who served in Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. A man who was larger than life, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include daughters, Colette O’Connor and Donna O’Connor, both of Winder, Linda Blechinger, Auburn, and Loretta Payton, Albuquerque, N.M.; sons, Ed Meyers and Jay Meyers, both of Albuquerque, N.M., and Daniel O’Connor, Arizona; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Interment will be in a private ceremony at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
