Geraldine Tucker (5-3-12)

ATHENS – Geraldine Tucker, 72, died Thursday, May 3, 2012.

She was a native of Madison County and was the daughter of the late J.P. and Rossi Horne Wilson. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee “Jimmy” Tucker Sr.

Survivors include children, James Lee Tucker Jr. and his wife Nancy, Mark Tucker and his wife Christy, Wendy Jordan and her husband Wes; sisters, Joyce Bradley and Jean Jones; grandchildren, Jamie Tucker, Alex Jordan, Nicole Jordan, Rossi Tucker and Lexie Tucker; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a loving and devoted mother, a wonderful grandmother, a devoted sister and loyal friend to many.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home with the Revs. Tom Dial and Randy Crowe officiating. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dwight Vaughn, Braden Griffith, Brent Griffith, Tom Akin, Tim McGarity and Stan Spivey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, May 4, from 6 to 8 p.m.
