COMMERCE - John Duncan Mealor, 80, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Commerce, the son of the late Moody Mem and Mary Belle Marvin Mealor. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from Lockheed. Mr. Mealor was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Hopkins Mealor; brother, William Franklin Mealor; and sister, Laura Mealor Chandler.
Survivors include children, Wanda Kay Middlebrooks, Polk City, Fla., Donna Guess, Kennesaw, John David Mealor, Canton, and Gaye Norvell, Powder Springs; brother, James H. Mealor, Commerce; sister, Virginia Mealor Barnes, Commerce; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 4, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night, May 3, from 5 to 8 p.m.
