COMMERCE - Martha Annette Williams, 99, was called home by God on Sunday, April 29, 2012.
Annette was a woman of God, a faithful wife for 66 years, a devoted mother, and a loving grandmother. She was born November 14, 1912, daughter of the late Young and Lillie Mae McGinnis. She is the last surviving sibling of 11 children. "Miss Annette" was the oldest surviving member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church. Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Williams; and a grandson, Bryan Williams.
Survivors include nine children, William Lamar Williams, Joyce Chifici, Sidney Williams (Joy), Evelyn Brummette, Mike Williams (Becky), Gene Williams (Pat), Donnie Williams, Sandra Freeman (Brett), and Bobby Williams (Kay); 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, at Blacks Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Hunter officiating and Mr. Jerry Seabolt providing a eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night, April 30, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Annette was always such a sweet person. The community will miss her greatly. Godspeed.
