E. Jerry Whitlow (4-24-12)

GAINESVILLE - E. Jerry Whitlow, 53, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012, following a brief illness.

He was born June 12, 1958, the son of the late William Spencer and Edna Jane Whitlow of Hall County. He was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Mangum and Dora Lee Carney.

Survivors include wife of 37 years, Barbara Whitlow, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Spencer and Amy Whitlow, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Joni and Scott Holloway, Gainesville; brothers, Clayton Whitlow, Gainesville, and Henry Whitlow, Talmo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jacky and Linda Whitlow, Flowery Branch, and James and Frances Whitlow, Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brendia and Harold Nix, Clermont, and Bessie and Marion McCord, Cumming; grandchildren, Will and J.D. Holloway and Isaiah, Abigail and Braxton Whitlow; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 26, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Rev. Anthony Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
