COMMERCE – Chris Carthern, 39, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, from injuries sustained in an accident.
He was the son of David and Pauline Anderson Carthern of Commerce.
Survivors in addition to his parents include a son, Christopher Cole Carthern, Center; brother, David Dean Carthern, Ila; two nieces; one nephew; and special friends, Yvonne Owensby and Jackie Thomas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 23, at 2 p.m. from Calvary Baptist Church on Hospital Road with the Revs. Donald Wilson and Jeeter Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

I thought the world of Chris I am so sorry to hear about this I was out in Montana when it happen just found out today, ya'll are in my prayers. We love ya'll Rodney & Brandy Wilbanks
