Fairy Anita Davis (4-18-12)

STATHAM – Fairy Anita Davis, 78, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012.

Born in Thomaston, she was the daughter of the late Wonzie Julian and Lena Rivers Oliver Peterman. She was a member of the Bethany Primitive Baptist Church. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1951 and from Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. She was a secretary for Davis Electric Company. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Peterman.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jerry D. Davis, Statham; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Tammy Davis, Keith and Julie Davis, all of Statham; daughter, Angie Davis, Statham; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and David Williams, Franklin, N.C.; five grandchildren, Matt, Josh, Kyle and Kelly Davis and Harrison Gullichson; and one great-grandchild, Kaylee Davis.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 22, at 4 p.m. from Smith Memory Chapel with Elder Gus Harter officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, April 21, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Primitive Baptist Church, 5101 Old Atlanta Rd., Suwanee, GA 30024.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
