Raymond Socha (4-17-12)

BOGART - Raymond Jullian Socha, 70, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospice House.

He was born in Norwich, the son of the late Jullian and Sophie Glinski Socha. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was retired from Certainteed. Mr. Socha was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Gordon Socha.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Carol Hargrove, Commerce; sister, Dorothy Banker, Moosup, Conn.; and 8 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 20, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. John Gordon and Ross Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow in Webbs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from noon until 2 p.m.
