Jowell M. Hearn Jr., 83, of Pendergrass, died Thursday, August 28, 2008, at his residence.
Born in Louisiana, he was the son of the late Jowell M. and Lillie E. Schymalriede Hearn. He was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Smith Hearn.
Survivors include a daughter, Melinda Gaskins, Pendergrass; sons, Jowell M. Hearn III and William A. Hearn, both of Texas, and Philip E. Hearn, South Dakota; brother, George Hearn, Texas; sister, Pauline King, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
No memorial services are scheduled at this time.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
