OAKWOOD - Kim Yelverton, 20, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
She was born November 11, 1991, the daughter of Dennis and Debbie Yelverton of Oakwood. She attended Flowery Branch High School and was enrolled at Gainesville State College to begin classes this summer. Kim enjoyed sports, music and spending time with friends. Kim was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Harmon Leonard; and paternal grandfather, Julian Yelverton.
Survivors in addition to her parents include a brother, Kevin Yelverton, Oakwood; maternal grandmother, Peggy Escobedo, Anderson, S.C.; paternal grandmother, Hazel Yelverton, Augusta; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with entombment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. John Yelverton and the Rev. Kevin Connel will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or a donation may be made to the charity of your choice in Kim's name.
