Evelyn Hoch (4-12-12)

JEFFERSON - Evelyn Norine Hoch, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012.

She was born in San Jose, Calif., the daughter of the late James and Helen Evelyn Dethlefsen Rice. Mrs. Hoch was an Administrator for the Campfire Girls and Boys, was a member of the Jefferson First United Methodist Church, and lived in the Northminester Community in Jefferson.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Hoch, Jefferson; daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Gary Reeser, Acworth; daughter and her companion, Denise Hoch and Jeff Marshall, Petaluma, Calif.; sisters-in-laws, Margene, Ruth and Marilyn; brothers-in-law, Giles, Bill and Loren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in Saturday, April 14, at 4:30 p.m. in the Jefferson First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Laskey officiating. A gathering of friends will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Rd., Athens, GA 30605.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
