JEFFERSON – Edward Lee Banks, 76, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Grandview Nursing Home.

He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County, born here and attended school in the CIO County Public School System. He attended Jones Chapel Church, where he served faithfully.

Survivors include three children, Totie (Roger) Newton, William (Marian) Daniel and Timothy Daniel; three brothers, Herman Banks, and Clyde and Jack Banks; and two sisters, Faye Shields and Peggie Grimes.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, at 1 p.m. from Jones Chapel Church.

Forestglen Mortuary, Inc., has charge of arrangements.
