James Clayton Collins, 72, of Danielsville, died Friday, August 29, 2008.
A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Ed Collins and Thelma Evans Fortson. He was retired from Southern Railroad after 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Collins; children, Susan Morgan, Lynn Carden, Dwayne and Eddie Collins; grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Collins, Rebecca Capie, Lauren and Garrett Collins, Kathryn Carden, Daniel and Genie Morgan; great-grandchild, Haylee Capie; brothers, Wayne and Roger Collins; stepsons, Junior, Rodney and Wayne Busbin, Ted Adams; and seven step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 31, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home. Burial was in Meadow Baptist Church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Mary’s Hospice.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
