COMMERCE - Pamela "Pam" "Sister" Sue Sellers Morris Gary, 47, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center. After a long struggle with lung cancer, she is at home with her Lord Jesus Christ.
She was born in Fort Benning, the daughter of Lamar and Pat Sellers of Commerce. She was a member of Nicholson Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Gary was preceded in death by her husbands, Rickey Morris and Chris Gary.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her daughter, Shannon Morris Thurmond (Michael); sister, Jenny Lord; grandson, Tyson Thurmond; niece, Hannah Lord; and nephew, Andrew Reid, all of Commerce; stepson, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren; and several other family members and friends that loved her very much.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 5, at Nicholson Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Howington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night, April 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
