ATHENS - Carolyn Eugenia Fleming Farr, 80, wife of the late James L. Farr, died Monday, April 3, 2012.
Born in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edwin and Eva Mae Culbertson Fleming. She retired from the Social Security Administration as well as the University of Georgia. She was a member of East Athens Baptist Church.
Survivors include children, Jefferey Allen, Smyrna, Tammy Farr Crowe, Athens; sister, Geneva Ivie, Forrest Heights; grandchildren, Joseph Wilson Berryman Jr., and Miranda Lee Farr; and five great-grandchildren, Eziekel, Braxton, Kayleigh, and Easton Berryman and Damion Jasper Farr.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, at 2 p.m. at Lord & Stephens East Chapel. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to East Athens Baptist Church.
