Betty Brooks

Betty Frady Patterson Brooks, 77, of Jefferson, died Sunday, August 31, 2008.

She was born in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Beecher and Mandy Lee Frady. She was retired from the textile industry and as a nursing assistant after 22 years. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husbands, George Cleon Patterson and Bobby Brooks; and a son, Michael Patterson.

Survivors include daughters, Patricia Green, Jefferson, Barbara Harrell, Riverdale; sons, Bobby Patterson, Jefferson, Edwin Patterson, Pendergrass; sisters, Sara Clark and Lillie Mae Lee, both of Jefferson; brother, Jerry Frady, Commerce; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 3, at Galilee Christian Church with Ministers Tom Plank, Terry Fowler and Jeff Graham officiating. Burial was in Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson. Pallbearers were Charlie Godfrey, Ricky Hayes, Mike Patterson, Danny Patterson, Steve Patterson, and J.R. Heitze.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
