James Cochran (3-20-12)

HOMER - James M. Cochran, 55, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.

He was born on April 4, 1956, in Demorest, the son of the late Julian Addy and Sarah Mildred Aaron Cochran. Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Cochran. He was employed as an engineer at the Air Liquid Company, Inc. with 10 years of service and a member of the Damascus Baptist Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 20 years, Dianne Cheek Cochran, Homer.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, March 23, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Revs. Roy G. Rogers and Jim McLendon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Damascus Baptist Church, 1526 Damascus Rd., Homer, GA 30547 or to the Homer United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 37, Homer, GA 30547.
