‘Hubcap Man’ Crump

Jack “Hubcap Man” Crump, 81, of Commerce, died Friday, August 29, 2008, at his residence.

Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Glen and Nettie Lawrence Crump. Mr. Crump was preceded in death by his wife, Rhoda Parr Crump.

Survivors include a loving companion, Judy Floyd; children, Linda O’Reilly, Nicholson, Brenda and Lee Moseley, Cumming, Mike Crump, Commerce, Greg and Jessica Crump, Colbert; grandchildren, Scott and Jill Matthews, Donna Lynn O’Reilly, Josh and April Crump; great-grandchildren, Jessica Lynn O’Reilly, Hunter Crump, Alisia Crump, Isabelle Matthews, Garrett Matthews; brothers and sisters, Winnie Kitchens and Glen Crump Jr., both of Baldwin, Mae Crane, Cordele, John Crump, Commerce.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 1, at the Lighthouse Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Winfred Bingham, Donald Wilson and John Webber officiating. Burial was in the Grey Hill Cemetery.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
