WINDER – Annie Lou Wheeler, 92, died Thursday, March 15, 2012.
Born in Winder, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Georgia Bowman Walls. She attended the Nazareth Methodist Church. Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband, Leamon C. Wheeler.
Survivors include sons, Eulan (Lou Ellen) Wheeler, Auburn, Jimmy (Doodle Bug) Wheeler, Winder; daughters, Betty Mack and Earl Akery, Winder, Sara (Russell), Carey, Winder, and Ann McDaniel, Rayle; special friend, Tommy Wright; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie Evans, Winder.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 17, from Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Ronald Hewatt and Mike Peavy officiating. Burial was at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
