CARYVILLE, FLA. – Shirley Ann Millwood, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 12, 2012, at Gulf Coast Community Hospital.
She was born on May 30, 1941, in Hall County, the daughter of the late Joe and Udell Benifield. She graduated from Dacula High School in 1960. She moved to the Washington County area in 1998, coming from Buford. She was a nurse’s aide and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Flowery Branch. Mrs. Millwood was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Billy Benifield; and two sisters, Agnes Whitmire and Frances Benifield.
Survivors include a son, Everett “Eddie” Millwood Jr. and wife, Vickie, Commerce; daughter, Cheryl Williams, Caryville, Fla.; brothers, Jim Benifield and wife, Anna, Rockhill, S.C. and Roy Benifield and wife, Velda, Martin; sisters-in-law, Mary Benifield, Buford, and Annette Benifield, Statesville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Jessica and Heath Millwood and Riley and Alex Wright; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tristan Wright; and several loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Fla., in charge of arrangements.
